Fees are payable in advance and include: enrolment fees, fees payable to the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, personal accident insurance for adventurous journeys organized by One Step Further, Online Record Book support, Adventurous Journey: training and supervision by qualified and experienced outdoor professionals, transportation costs from and to adventurous journey areas, Skills-Service-Physical recreation for all levels and Residential project for Gold monitoring & support, Award certificate, Entrance to Rockstar Climbing (Winter Offer for Physical Recreation). Any fees related to other individual sectional activities are between the participant and the person or organization running the activities. Fees also include the use of 3-season tents.
Payments are not refundable and can be made online after the completion of the enrolment form, in cash or with a bank transfer to One Step Further.

All participants will be required to be properly equipped according to the Award guidelines in order to be safe during their adventurous journeys. This will incur an additional cost for required personal equipment. An equipment list will be provided during training. The Equipment Kit List is an illustration of the type of items you may need when undertaking an Award Adventurous Journey. This list is to be used as a guide and there is no obligation to buy the specific items we recommend. Required personal items include good quality hiking boots, sleeping bag, waterproofs, rucksack and a head-torch. Required team items include a specialized cooking set and a compass.
A Value Pack by One Step Further that includes the most important of these items at a total discounted price will be given to students during training. Purchase of the Value Pack is not mandatory.
A 15% discount for participants for personal expedition clothing and equipment is offered from Get Out Outdoor Store. All our Recommended Kit has been tested by Award Adventurous Journey teams. All products are of high quality and their selling price is the recommended selling price in EU countries.

I give permission for my child to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award programme, including all related activities and the Adventurous Journey, which may take place outdoors and/or involve travel.
I understand and accept that it is my responsibility to ensure that any activity my child undertakes as part of their Award is appropriately managed and insured, unless the activity is directly organised or supervised by One Step Further as their Independent Award Centre (IAC).
I acknowledge that I have received and understood the information provided regarding the planned activities, and I have discussed with my child the importance of following all rules and instructions given by staff, for their own safety and the safety of the group.
I agree to inform the Award Leader or Supervisor of any changes to my child’s health prior to the date of any planned activity or departure.
In the event of a medical emergency, I give permission for the responsible staff to authorise any necessary medical treatment for my child.

I understand that any personal data provided will be used solely for the purposes of administering the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award programme, in line with GDPR regulations.
I acknowledge that the organisation delivering the Award has safeguarding procedures in place to promote the welfare of all participants.
